Good Morning!
One of the things we are doing in Homeschool this year is a Hymn Study. Basically, each morning we read in a book we have that tells about some background information on many popular hymns. It is really amazing how many of these hymns were born out of adversity in the hymn writer's life.
After we read about a hymn, we will then search on YouTube for a video clip so we can hear what that hymn sounds like. Often times we are already familiar with it from singing it in our church, but a lot of them are still new to us. These YouTube clips are frequently put together along with beautiful nature pictures which I really love!
Today's hymn I really liked, because the words to the hymn are based on some very precious promises in the Bible. I thought some of you might also like it, so have linked to it below. When our foundation is based on God's Word, it is the ONLY firm foundation there is, because He is the only one who never fails us!
How Firm a Foundation
Hope you are having a beautiful day with Jesus! We are getting rain and a small thunderstorm here in my neck of the woods--but every day with Jesus is beautiful!

SonRise 2015
Good Morning Everyone!
Wondering where I have been? Well, most recently I have been in the Jerusalem Marketplace selling baskets in the basket shop! My family was doing the same--see our lovely family picture above?
We had some wonderful friends agree to join us for the day--that's their family picture above. Selling baskets is ever much more fun when you are doing it with friends!
Now just look at these two giggly girls! ;)

And we had a couple other friends who also came and helped us!
This was the 20th year that this SonRise Resurrection Pageant took place at the college where my hubby works, and our son attends. We have been blessed to help out in some small way ever since we moved here, eight years ago.
It takes over 900 volunteers to put this program on, and every year we have around 10,000 people attend. Yes, I said 10,000 people. And truth is, there would be more people except that we have to limit the number of free tickets given out since our buildings where the program begins and ends can only hold so many people for safety reasons. Sadly, there are often many people who would like to attend the SonRise program and they cannot get tickets. While the tickets are given free, you must have a ticket to attend.
I cannot help but think about heaven. Jesus has already paid the price. The "ticket" was anything BUT free--it cost blood. HIS blood. But for YOU, it is free. It is paid for. And best of all, there is no limit--there is room for ALL of us to attend! Why would you decide to not use your "ticket?"
I am always so blessed as I walk through the SonRise program and watch the scenes unfold. Jesus riding through the Market Place on a donkey. Jesus blessing the children. The Last Supper. The Garden of Gethsemane. Pilate's Judgement Hall. The Crucifixion. And the best--my favorite--The Resurrection.
If you would like to watch a short video of this year's Resurrection scene, click the link below:
The most wonderful thing, is while the SonRise program is just a bunch of volunteers dressed up and acting out stories, these stories REALLY happened! Including the Resurrection! We do not follow a God who died--we follow a God who conquered death!
And He has stood in line at the cross to purchase your ticket.
Won't you accept it?
